Competitions

Skills Canada holds the annual Ontario Skills Competition, including a construction challenge for grade 7-8 students. High school students are encouraged to enter the Architectural Technology and Design competition where using Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) software, competitors must showcase their design and drawing skills. Skills Canada also holds a competition for landscape design where competitors must showcase their landscape design and drawing skills.
Design Exchange: High School Design Competition (DX) in Canada is an internationally recognized non-profit educational organization that promotes greater awareness of design and its role in fostering economic growth and cultural vitality.
The World Architecture Festival (WAF) is an annual festival and live awards for the global architecture community which come to debate, learn and be inspired.
As Canada's largest National Design and Architecture Expo and Conference, IIDEX Canada brings together over 15,000 interior designers, architects, facility managers, real estate and business executives in a national forum which powers the design industry in Canada.
The University of Toronto Space Design Contest (UTSDC) is an annual contest for high school students founded in 2003. Teams work together to develop a solution for a design challenge, set every year.
