Robotics Courses

Lego Robotics

The Lego robotics program is structures to develop an experiential understanding of the multi-disciplinary field of engineering by following the design process to ultimately build and program several robots to accomplish predetermined tasks. Students use the Lego NXT platform as a fun tool to explore the fundamental concepts of mechanical systems, electronics, and programming. NXT software allows students to experiment with a variety of sensors and motors to make their projects come alive through movements, sound and touch. Students get to be the masters of their own creations!

BEAM Robotics

Students transition from basic to advanced robotic engineering in BEAM - an acronym for Biology, Electronics, and Aesthetics Mechanics. The program functions around a lab experience which provides students a variety of resources to design, build, program and redesign functional robots for real-world settings. These robots are made to accomplish complex tasks through the combination of vigorous design and crafty programming.
