Green Engineering
In this camp you will apply principles of green architecture and solar technology and build your own model solar house using photovoltaic and thermal solar panels.
During the first week the camp revolves around computer aided architectural design for an energy efficient solar house. In the second week you work with a flexible solar cell to power gadgets for your model house. Through out the duration of the camp you will be engaged in a game of energy monopoly with other campers.
At the end of the camp you will be able to carry your creation home and your work will be displayed at the Design Expo.
- This camp is most suitable for age 11+ innovators and wizards interested in alternative energy as a life choice or career.
- No prior technology experience is necessary.
- Apart from the core program, the camp day plan is well rounded and includes many warm ups, energizers, team builders and creativity contests during the camp day to win friends and cool prizes.
- 6 to 12 participants per camp.
