International Admissions Process

The admission process at THINNOX is easy and seeks to establish a strong partnership between our knowledgeable admissions counsellors, the student and parent right from the start.

One

Request a brochure and schedule a phone or in-person discussion with the International Admissions Guidance office to learn more about the TED Immersion OSSD, Summer Innovation or ESL programs and applicable tuition fees.

Two

Complete the online application form and attach scanned copies of the student's passport, certified school reports or official transcripts for the past three years of education along with a non-refundable $150 application fee.

Three

Upon receipt of all of the above mentioned documents the application will be reviewed. Upon acceptance, the student will be issued a Letter of Acceptance by the school and parents will be directed to the admissions office for payment of fees applicable to the program.

Four

Upon receipt of the Letter of Acceptance you must confirm your admission by completing paymentsof the deposit amounts within the stated deadline. Upon confirmation of offer and completion of payment, THINNOX will issue a payment receipt and a formal letter of Acceptance.

Five

Upon receipt of the formal letter of Acceptance you may initiate application for a study permit at the nearest Canadian Embassy or Consulate. All students engaged in a course of study longer than six months need a study permit. The study permit process may take between 2 to 4 weeks time depending on the country of origin. Please visit the CIC website for further details regarding the study permit process.

Six

If you are an international student under 18 years of age you are considered a minor in Ontario. All minors applying for a study permit are required by Citizenship and Immigration Canada to have a Custodian living in the local community in Canada.

Seven

In the event that you do not have a custodian in the local community contact the International Guidance office at THINNOX for assistance. A signed Custodianship Consent Form must be provided by the parents or legal guardian, together with the non-refundable service fee of CAD $200.00 for the preparation of a notarized Custodianship Declaration.
